Our first week at our Central Coast Supported Independent Living house - The Ranch

Transitioning to Supported Independent Living under the NDIS has been a long-awaited milestone for us at Tribe. After nearly a year of meticulous planning, we are thrilled to announce the establishment of our first SIL home, which we have called ‘The Ranch’. This house is not just a dwelling; it's a space gradually transforming into a nurturing home for our participants.

Our SIL Strategy – Tailored to Fit

As we embark on our journey to develop additional SIL homes over the next three years, our approach sets us apart from other providers in this field. If you are exploring supported independent living options, here’s why our strategy stands out:

1. Holistic Transition Planning: We prioritize sustainable and safe pathways for individuals transitioning to SIL. This may involve a phased approach, starting with community access support for up to six months before moving into SIL. This ensures we thoroughly understand each individual's needs and devise tailored strategies for their successful integration into supported living.

2. Building the Right Team: Central to our strategy is forming the ideal support team for each participant. This collaborative effort spans the transition period, crucially contributing to stability and the individual’s overall success in their new living environment.

3. Focus on Wellness: At Tribe, we prioritize participant wellness and health as core values. Our approach includes personalized activities that promote wellness in every aspect of the SIL experience—from physical fitness and nutritious eating to maintaining a clean and stable living environment.

Looking ahead, Tribe is committed to completing the construction of five purpose-built homes over the next three years. These homes are meticulously designed to maximize comfort while ensuring everyone enjoys the freedom and security of their own space.

Transitioning to SIL is a gradual process, but one that ensures alignment and happiness among all stakeholders—participants, caregivers, families, and support workers. We view this as a lifelong choice for our families, and therefore, we approach it with utmost seriousness and dedication to providing exemplary homes and services.
