A Ferry Ride to Remember - Disability Support Worker Central Coast

Heartfelt Moments with Our Tribe

Some days stay with you forever, not because of anything grand or extravagant, but because they’re filled with connection, love, and those quiet, joyful moments that make life truly meaningful. Today was one of those days for us, and we’re still carrying the warmth of it in our hearts.

As a disability support worker on the Central Coast, days like these are a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do. We spent the morning under clear blue skies, boarding the ferry from Ettalong Beach to Palm Beach alongside some of the most incredible people we’re privileged to support. The sun was shining just right, the water was sparkling like diamonds, and there was that fresh, crisp feeling in the air that only an autumn day can bring.

The journey across the water was filled with laughter, conversations, and shared excitement. For many of us, a simple ferry ride becomes something extraordinary when shared with the right people, our Tribe. On the other side, we were greeted by something truly special: a thoughtfully prepared picnic waiting for us, set up with love and care by our dear friends Steph, Jack, and little Jake. Their kindness added that extra layer of magic to the day, and we’re so grateful for the thoughtfulness and love they put into it.

Being a disability support worker Central Coast is about so much more than providing care, it’s about building genuine relationships, creating joyful experiences, and supporting people to live their lives to the fullest. Watching everyone enjoy the picnic, feel the sun on their faces, and take in the beautiful views of Palm Beach was such a rewarding moment. It reminded us just how meaningful our role really is.

There’s something incredibly powerful about simply being together, away from routines and responsibilities, and just enjoying the moment. Whether it was a smile shared across the table, a hand held during the ferry ride, or a story told under the shade of a tree, each interaction was a gift.

As a disability support worker Central Coast, you learn to cherish these small moments because they’re what make the job so special. It’s not just work, it’s a shared journey with people who inspire you every day.

We’re constantly reminded of the importance of community, connection, and compassion. Being able to do what we love, with people we genuinely care about, is a gift we never take for granted. Days like today fill our cups and renew our sense of purpose.

To all the incredible individuals we support and to our fellow disability support worker Central Coast family, thank you for making this path such a meaningful one. We are endlessly grateful for our Tribe, and we look forward to making many more beautiful memories together.
