Disability Support Worker - Supported Independent Living (SIL)
We are currently looking for highly skilled Disability Support Workers to join our team at our SIL house located at Cooranbong Central Coast. The position offers 18-35 hours per week and requires flexibility to work a 24/7 rotating roster, including morning, afternoon, evening, sleepover (2 nights or more), and weekend shifts. In this role, you will support clients with daily living activities and lifestyle needs, including personal care.
Duties and responsibilities may include:
Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming, and medication prompting
Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
Social support/transportation: social activities, shopping/groceries, traveling to medical appointments
Supporting customers with challenging needs
Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress
Participating in staff meetings and attending training as required
What you will need:
Formal Qualifications in Disability or Community Services (Preferred)
Experience working in Disability / aged care(1 year minimum)
Current CPR / First Aid Certificate
Current and satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission Worker Orientation Module certificate, and Blue Card (Or willing to obtain).
Current Australian Driver’s Licence.
Reliable, Registered, and Insured vehicle
Smartphone with internet access (required)
